The Struwwelpeter. In 1845 Heinrich Hoffman created Der Struwwelpeter as a gift for his son. The children in each of the ten rhymed and illustrated morality tales encounter such disastrous consequences, I was inspired to make my own series of accordion, pop-up, carousel, and tunnel books.
