Parallels was a site-specific book collaboration with artist Melanie Mowinski, created for the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts’ Gallery 51 “Exchange” exhibition, featuring artwork completed with the help of technology or reflecting feelings connected to its use as an art or social tool.
Melanie and I embarked on a one month online exchange of daily images via http://parallelschinacheshire.tumblr.com. I was located in Shanghai, China and Melanie was located in Cheshire Massachusetts. Our books were developed in response to our daily international exchange.
